Modern Neighborhood Development with the Concept of Urban Production

Why will urban production influence cities and neighborhoods of the future? Which sustainable opportunities does urban production offer for our climate and the location development of our cities? And what does urban production have to do with circularity?

As part of the Circular Futures Festival, the B-Part | Urban Ideation Lab will host an afternoon and evening around the topic of urban production on September 15, 2022. With the help of examples and the highlighting of different viewpoints we want to learn about the existing challenges, potentials and the visions for how sustainable urban neighborhoods can look like. Come by and drive a more sustainable development of your cities through your active exchange of ideas at talks, workshops and networking.

2 pm – Networking and arrival

2.30 pm – Impulses: Theoretical presentations and practical examples

3:45 pm – Guided tour Viaducts: The former and future site for urban production at Gleisdreieck.

4:45 pm – Urban Ideation Lab: A vision for Gleisdreieck

5:35 pm- Exchange formats / workshops for urban producers*, developers* and owners*, consumers, representatives from the city & politics

7 pm – Final get-together

Showcase of urban producers

Come and talk to urban producers and get an insight into the diversity of their work. From 2pm we will provide our B-Part outdoor area to local urban producers, who will have the opportunity to showcase their working methods and products.
