23.04.2021 | 10:00 - 18:00
The exhibition SynchroniCities shows planet-centered visions for an urban future at B-Part Exhibition at B-Part Am Gleisdreieck in Berlin.
SynchroniCities presents works by the artists Xaver Hirsch, Brad Nath, Florentin Aisslinger, Felix Beer, Julian Aisslinger, Jakob Kukula, Leon Doering, Leoni Fischer, Terra0, Mariano Managò, Helene Peters and Sophia Schultz-Rocha. From April 1st to June 19th the exhibition will take place at the B-Part Exhibition inside the B-Part Am Gleisdreick in Berlin – a laboratory for the ideal urban quarter. The show will be open from Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and can be visited upon prior registration and according to the current covid regulations.* The featured video works, installations and objects present multi-perspective, symbiotic visions for the future of urban life in Berlin.
As the pandemic state of emergency continues, we gradually become aware of the fragility of the complex human and non-human systems we inhabit. This increased understanding of global interdependence feeds doubts about a possible return to normality. Yet, it also opens up space to question common notions of reality. What strategies can help to achieve a mode of coexistence in which all species can participate and benefit? The participants from science, art, urbanism and design present new modes of listening to, showing and engaging with more-than human beings, thus putting possible answers up for discussion.
SynchroniCities is curated by Leoni Fischer and Jakob Kukula.
