FATIMA DEUTSCHESKIND – RETROSPECTIVE

*In keeping with her motto “I create reality,” Katja Deutschmann stages the new exhibition at the B-Part Exhibition Am Gleisdreieck under her pseudonym Fatima Deutscheskind: RETROSPECTIVE. In doing so, she plays a game with the absurd that is not logically tangible: non-existent places, associations and people appear quite naturally in the context of this exhibition and in various global locations. The visitors have to ask themselves constantly what they believe and at what point they start to doubt. The exhibition plays with the idea of how far statements and claims can be pushed until people become suspicious and thereby inscribes itself into a larger semantic as well as current context, which is dominated by topics such as fake news and false reports.
