Urban Ideation Lab Event I: Learning from Spaces

22.08.2019 | 18:30 - 21:00

August 22nd 2019

Together with the lab fellow Circular Berlin the Urban Ideation Lab at B-Part Am Gleisdreieck – a laboratory dedicated to designing the urban neighbourhood of the future – invites you to a thrilling talk on the topic “Learning from Spaces”.

The following participants will be discussing on the panel about the topic “Learning from spaces: Flexible use of space as a catalyst for circular business models in the construction industry”:

  • Laurence Pagni (CRCLR)
  • Johannes Stiglmair (TRNSFRM)
  • Helge Kunz (Renggli)
  • Felix Marlow (Haus der Statistik)
  • Stella Sommer (NBL Natural Building Lab)

How does various spatial use support circular construction? To generate answers, we will bring together Berlin’s leading practitioners to share their experiences and examine the best practices of circular spaces in Berlin, bridging together long-term, multifunctional, temporary and interim uses to enable the circular construction business model for our city. To accelerate a transformation from linear to circular economy in the construction sector, there is an urgency to deploy circular business models. Due to its higher risks, costs and greater complexity, circular construction is not yet “business as usual” for the industry.

Whether focusing on an existing building or a new one, the participants will explore how design and use models of spaces can demonstrate sustainable building operation.

Since the number of participants is limited to 50, we ask for a timely registration. You can register here.
