Summer School 2019 – Prototyping Collaborative Spaces

In the second half of September, a Summer School will take place in B-Part Am Gleisdreieck, in which students and artists will collaboratively analyze connecting elements of public space and on this basis design and build a temporary infrastructure for cultural exchange and knowledge production.

According to the Design Build principle, participants from Berlin and the Colombian community Moravia in Medellín will develop a contemporary interpretation of an agora in mixed teams, an open multifunctional space that functions as an exchange platform, work space and information point. In a programme of workshops, talks, excursions and cultural events, the participants will get to know innovative projects of the city and exchange ideas for the co-production of a sustainable and resistant built environment. The Summer School is already the fifth edition in the series of collaborative workshops within the framework of the Urban Lab Medellín | Berlin. It is organized by the B-Part Urban Ideation Lab.

From 16.09.2019 – 28.09.2019 different events and actions will take place daily from 10 am – 6 pm.
